Alumnus Rises to the Challenge As Panelist
Panel Explored Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Hopkins

School of Medicine alumnus Isaac Kinde, M.D., Ph.D. (Med '15) was a panelist at last month's San Francisco event for Rising to the Challenge, a $5 billion Johns Hopkins campaign. More than 300 supporters had the chance to engage and explore the role that innovation and entrepreneurship plays on Johns Hopkins campuses and in our communities.

"Today, we don't do a good enough job finding early stage cancers because we don't have reliable tests to find them," said Kinde, Chief Scientific Officer at PapGene, Inc. "At PapGene we're developing next generation cancer tests that will address this important, but yet unmet need. The technology that we're commercializing was developed at Hopkins."

These are the payment paradigms of the future.  How will this shift affect physicians, hospitals, and patients? Healthcare Affinity: NY hosts a discussion on what to expect from all aspects of the healthcare realm on June 15, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at the Princeton Club, 15 W. 43rd Street, New York, NY 10036.
