"WOO-HOO!" from You Know Who
Here Comes The Bride

It was a perfect day! Cloudless sky. Gentle breeze.  And the chapel was beautiful. Every heart rejoiced as the bride entered.  Stunning and smiling, she made her way down the aisle, her eyes fixed on the groom.  He gazed lovingly at her, eyes spilling over with tears of joy. 1 Peter 3:7 (ESV)

"Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered."

When Sinners Say "I Do"
by Dave Harvey (Shepherd Press)

To say "I am a sinner" is to stare boldly at a fundamental reality most people would rather ignore.  Nonetheless, when we acknowledge our painful condition, several other wonderful realities become clear.  The greatest benefit is that Christ and his work become precious to us.  That beginning leads us to grace and is not a depressing thought at all!  To get to the heart of marriage, we must deal with the heart of sin.  A wise pastor once said, "Till sin become bitter, Christ will not be sweet."  He was getting at the profound truth of the Gospel.  Until we understand the problem, we will be not able to delight in the solution.  Grace is truly amazing because of what we're saved from.  Therein lies hope for sinners who say "I do."

What Did You Expect? - Redeeming the Realities of Marriage
by Paul David Tripp (Crossway, 2010)

"Are your expectations for your marriage realistic? More couples than I can number have been surprised that their marriage needs the regular rescue of grace.  And because they did not take the Bible seriously, they were caught short in that moment, when the rubber meets the road in daily life, where grace was their only hope... Realism is found at the intersection of unabashed honesty and uncompromising hope.  God's Word and God's grace make both possible in your marriage."  (from Chapter 1)
