Wall Graphics Brighten Offices at Ithaca Solar Company

Intelligent Green Solutions, a solar thermal company in Ithaca, turned to Signarama when it decided to add some wall graphics to its offices to illustrate its energy management system.

The brightly colored wall prints Signarama installed not only make the company's headquarters a more inviting place to work, but also create an attractive way to promote the business to people driving by on Route 366. The floor-to-ceiling mural on the wall  in the company's main entrance can be seen through the large front windows both day and night.

"We wanted to put a face on our building," says Jennifer Svec, operations coordinator for IGS, at 1143 Dryden Road. "A lot of it is the recognition you get when you're on a busy road, and you want people to see you with something that catches their eye."

Signarama installed a larger wall graphic on a wall in the company's conference room, which shows the technical flow chart of IGS's solar thermal energy system. IGS produces the energy-saving systems for the agriculture industry, which uses them to produce hot water to clean and sterilize farm equipment.

The wall graphics are made of adhesive-backed, high-end vinyl and look and feel like wallpaper. They were digitally printed at Signarama's office at 537 State St. and will last for years, says Diane Beckley, owner of Signarama of Ithaca.

Wall graphics can liven up any office space, particularly those with waiting rooms. "If you're sitting in a doctor's office or a lawyer's office, it's more soothing to have a graphic on the wall that calms people down," Beckley says. "They can also be informational and teach people who are sitting in the waiting room."
