Chapel -  Please join us tomorrow, Friday, May 27, for our Closing Chapel Service at 8:45 a.m. in the sanctuary of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. 

Pastor Josh Woodrow will be leading this service.  The end-of-year certificates will be presented at this service.  Chapel dress code is required as we have had on all of our chapel days.  Following chapel, students will return to their homeroom and be dismissed at that time.  Our 4th quarter chapel offerings will go to Bridge City Community Church. 

Report Cards will be sent via InfoDirect on Friday, May 27.

BCA Child Care Closed will be closed on Monday, May 30, 2016 for Memorial Day. We wish everyone a safe and blessed holiday!

Summer Camp officially begins on Tues., May 31 -
Mrs. Angela and Mr. Ernie still have spaces available in their summer camp for rising kindergarten - eighth grade. Download a form HERE if you would like to register for any week during the summer. 

(Currently enrolled PK3 - PK4 students will continue on in the summer program that also starts on Tuesday.) 

Basketball Camp - BCA will host a Basketball Camp in June. The camp is open to BCA students as well as children in the community. The dates are June 7, 9, 10, 14 & 16. The camp is for rising 3rd - rising 8th graders and will be led by Mr. Streufert, BCA's Athletic and P.E. Director. The cost is $60 per camper and will include a T-shirt and basketball. Sign-up forms were sent home this week and are also available in the front lobby. BCA 2015-2016 Yearbooks - Orders are now being taken for the BCA 2015-2016 yearbook!  Deadline to order is May 27, 2016. Photos will include student activities from Infants - 8th grade/Blended Ed. featuring class events, sports photos, Christmas service, National Lutheran Schools Weeks activities, field trips,  Faith Family Day, chapel, mini-courses and much, much more! 

Please make checks payable to BCA, with "Yearbook" in the memo line and return the bottom portion of this page, along with payment, to your child's homeroom teacher or the front office by 5/27/16.

Thank you to PTL and Teachers We hope everyone had a wonderful time at the Faith Family Cook-out today! The children had a great time playing games in the gym and participating in the Talent Show as well.

Supply Lists - The 2016-2017 BCA school supply lists for kindergarten - 8th grade will be available on our website listed under the Parent tab - Supply Lists. The lists will be available on our website by the middle of June. 

(For PK4 and under -- families do not furnish supplies for their child. They pay a $35 supply fee twice per year.)

Summer Reading Lists - The Summer Reading lists for students entering 1st through 8th grades will be available on our BCA website under the Parent tab - Summer Reading Lists.

Congratulations to 8th Grader, Carl Smith, on his BCA Graduation - Commencement was held last night at First Lutheran Church. We wish Carl the best as he leaves BCA and starts ninth grade at the Center for Creative Arts.

SUMMER FAMILY EVENTS: 

Family Friendly Movie Night "Under the Stars" -
The community is invited to join  Cross of Christ Lutheran Church (3204 Hixson Pk., Chatt., TN 37415) on the third Saturday in June, July and August, for a family-friendly movie night outdoors "Under the Stars".  

A pre-show cartoon starts at sunset with the feature film starting 30 minutes later, close to dusk. Free popcorn and water will be available. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs. The next movie is scheduled for Saturday, June 18. The cartoon starts at 8:40 p.m. and the feature film, lasting 88 minutes, starts at 9:10 p.m. Call the church info-line at (423) 648-0995 for the monthly movie title.

Vacation Bible School - June 20 - 24  - VBS will be held here at BCA starting Monday, June 20 through Friday, June 24 - 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. with free dinner served nightly to all participating children and volunteers. 

Children ages PK3 - rising 8th grade are invited to take part. We will have a special program for the rising 6th - 8th graders. PK3 and PK4 will also have their own age-appropriate program. The Southeast Tennessee/Northwest Georgia Chapter of Thrivent Financial invites you to attend their annual Thrivent Sponsored Day at the Chattanooga Lookouts Baseball Game -  The Chattanooga Lookouts vs. The Jackson Generals Baseball Game -  Sat., June 25, 2016
  • Saturday, June 25 - Game begins at 7:15 p.m.
  • Located at the AT&T Field, 201 Power Alley, Chattanooga, TN 37402
  • A picnic dinner precedes the game starting at 5:30 p.m. 
  • Tickets are available from a Thrivent Congregational Advocate at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, First Lutheran Church or Cross of Christ. Please contact the church offices for questions about purchasing a ticket.

Ticket orders and money due by June 5. Tickets will be distributed between June 12 - 19. There will be a limited number of tickets sold this year, as we can only accommodate a maximum of 300 people. A Final Farewell and Summer Blessing!
We pray that each of you have a wonderful summer! Please keep Belvoir Christian Academy, new Head of School, Linda Dahnke and our Interim Head of School, Dr. Marni Halvorson, in your prayers. We appreciate Dr. Halvorson's service to our school this year and look forward to Ms. Dahnke starting with us on July 1. Please also pray for our teachers, staff and our students and families over the summer.
