New Teacher Luncheon (details to come)

Have you seen the Mastercard's commercials where kids are asking their parents for 'one more day?'  These commercials were created to encourage more Americans to take time off from work.  The U.S. Travel Association has started their 'Project: Time Off' campaign to help people realize the importance of taking a vacation.
According to their report found at http://www.projecttimeoff.com/research/groundhog-day#Key Findings, Americans from 1976-2000 took an average of 20 days off per year.  However, that rapidly fell.  They state 'today, American workers report just 16 days used in 2014 - almost a full work-week less compared to pre-2000 levels.'
They use the term 'work martyrs' to describe what we've become.   Their conclusion, they suggest making 3 small changes:

Chamber Remodel

While our remodel is taking shape, there are still a few things that need to be done before it is considered complete. We are working on sound buffers for the room and conference furniture but these may take a little longer to secure.

Big "Shout out" and "Thank you" to:
  • Kopetsky Ace Hardware and Sherwin Williams for helping with the paint job.
  • Services Center Federal Credit Union for their donation to the conference room!
  • First National Bank for their contribution of some work station furniture!
We still have a "wish list" for a few more things to complete the new conference room.   If any members plan a remodel and will be replacing existing furniture, please contact us at  (605) 665-3636.   Thank you for your continued patience as we work through this remodel.
