Back Home Nursery   - A ll our hanging baskets are $12 this weekend. We just got a new load so there are a lot of choices! We  have annuals, vegetables, perennials, baskets, shrubs and giftware. We are open  Tuesday-Friday 9-6,  Saturday 9-4,  Sunday 11-4 and closed  Monday. Located just west of Osawatomie - 36545 John Brown Hwy.

UPS Store
Donate to Books Across America Program  The UPS Store is participating in the Books Across America campaign promoted by Dr. OZ. The community can donate new and gently used story books for kids ages 5 and under at our store (1601 E. Peoria St.) until Wednesday, June 8th.  The books will be given to the WIC program.

MCMC MCMC Osawatomie Rehabilitation Services Chamber Coffee/Open House
 - The public is invited to tour the new location and attend an open house on Friday, June 17th at 10am. Join us for refreshments, a tour and an opportunity to meet the rehabilitation staff.  It will be a multi-chamber event including Paola, Osawatomie and Louisburg.

pancakes Osawatomie City Library Pancake Feed  - Join us Saturday, May 28th from 8-11 am at the Osawatomie City Auditorium, 5th & Main, for an "All You Can Eat Pancake Feed" served by Chris Cakes. Tickets are $6 each and available at the Library (527 Brown) or at City Hall (5th & Main). This fundraiser is for the library expansion project.

OZONE John Brown Run Around 5K Fun Run - The OZONE will be hosting its first annual John Brown Run Around 5K Fun Run on Saturday, May 28th beginning at 8am. Stroll, walk, jog or run at your own pace. All ages are welcome! Come join us and enjoy the beauty of our historic park and community.  Cost is $20 (which includes a free t-shirt & a goody bag!).  Registration will begin Monday, April 25th. You can sign up at the OZONE or register online at USD367OZONE.ORG. Registration will remain open until 7:45 am, the morning of the race.  We will start on the Osawatomie High School track and make loops around John Brown Park and finish back on the track.  Contact Hayden Mersman or Dave French with any questions at the OZONE (913)755-3622.

Osawatomie Rotary Club is seeking players, hole sponsors and raffle donations for their 3rd annual Golf Tournament for Saturday, June 4 at Osawatomie Golf Course. Cost is $65 per person/$260 team of four and includes 18 holes of golf, cart, continental breakfast & lunch. Registration begins at 7:00am and Tee-off is at 8:30am. Putting contest, hole prizes, target hole shootout, hole in one contest, 50/50 raffle, and cash awarded to flight winners based on total entries, all add to the fun! Miss Osawatomie - Time is running out ! However, we have added an incentive for Queen contestants grades 9-12! The winner of that division will receive a $200 scholarship upon graduation and furthering her education. Those who win before their senior year will have the scholarship waiting for them upon graduation and meeting the guidelines. C ontact the Osawatomie Chamber of Commerce at 913-755-4114 or Diana Neal 913-731-1193 by Tuesday, May 31st. It will be June 17th. I t's open to all young ladies currently enrolled in K-12th grade that are residing within the Osawatomie School District and attending Osawatomie Schools, girls residing in Osawatomie who may attend private school elsewhere, or are homeschooled but live within the USD #367 District boundaries and fall into that age/grade range. Participation is FREE and ALL contestants will receive a goodie bag. The theme this year is Carnival. There are four separate age divisions and every contestant will have a private interview with the judges and take the stage in two outfits of choice: evening wear and theme related on pageant night.

Osawatomie Post Office - Support your local post office by buying your postage locally, mailing packages, buying envelopes and money orders and renting PO Boxes. Remember to fill out the survey when you make a purchase there. Their evaluation is based on their revenue. This will help to ensure that we can keep the hours that we do have them open.
