We are now in the last five days of the legislative session and to this point we have been very deliberative. Things will move at a frantic pace as we move towards March 24th "Sine Die."
The Senate passed our version of the budget and it is now on its way to Conference Committee. The Senate version of the 2017 Budget that based on a 4.3% growth in revenue is set at more than 23.7 Billion dollars. This is the largest budget since the recession of 2008. Over the next week we will see the Committee work to find middle ground between the Senate and House versions of the FY2017 Budget.
