The Episcopal Church, much like the US legislature, is bicameral.  All bishops, retired and active, make up the first house: The House of Bishops.  There are more than 300 members and the Presiding Bishop (currently Michael Curry) is its president.  The second house, the House of Deputies, is comprised of clergy and lay leaders and has more than 900 members.  Both houses must approve any new legislation.

Attention Incoming 7th Grade Parents!
Christopher, Leah, and Melissa will be offering an informational meeting about our Confirmation program, especially for incoming 7th grade parents, on Sunday, June 5, after the 9:30 service in the Lea Room. Saving Your Grand Receipts Helps
Support Youth Mission Trip
This is a slam-dunk fundraiser because we all shop at our wonderful local grocery store (some a lot more frequently than others.) The Grand Food Center (Winnetka & Glencoe) has agreed to sponsor our mission trip and you can help!  Save all your receipts and place them in the labeled collection cans in the Prevost Cloister, McClain Room, Youth Ministry credenza, and church office.  The Grand will give us 3% of all money spent at their store (before taxes).  This will be an ongoing endeavor so that we can build a base for scholarships and offset travel costs.  We appreciate your support!
