Santa Maria's Every Child Succeeds Program Receives Healthy Families of America Accreditation

Young graduate of Santa Maria's ECS Program
Santa Maria's Every Child Succeeds (ECS) program  received national accreditation through Healthy Families of America (HFA) April 15.

HFA accredited organizations must meet 12 research-based critical requirements and be committed to demonstrating consistent service implementation
and quality.

To use the model, agencies must affiliate with the HFA National Office. Completion of the accreditation process reflects a community's commitment  to implementing HFA principles.

All sites using the HFA model must successfully  implement each of the 12 critical elements including use of standardized assessment tools, provision of culturally competent services, and intensive training for providers, among others. To learn more about Santa Maria's ECS program, click here .
