Co-Ed Summer Camp for Teens
July 25 - 29
 
In collaboration with The Music Recource Center of Cincinnati, WWf(a)C f acilitators Olivia Linn and Pam Temple will lead "Your Voice Matters: Make It Heard,"
an opportunity to learn how to create a podcast and an audio narrative, with the possibility of a local radio broadcast!  This series will incorporate WWf(a)C practices to ensure a safe space and the camp will include writing, sharing and discussion. MRC Staff will join the writing circles to teach about the process of recording and a visit to the MRC recording studio is included. Program supported in part by ArtsWave.

Salons have returned!
 
Salons are informal gatherings held at WWf(a)C and sponsored by Women's Way of OH/KY.  Bring a poem, photo, story or song to share, or simply enjoy listening. Potluck before, during and after each Salon--bring enough for yourself plus a little extra. Salons are a great way to meet new people, share ideas, and learn new information.

2016: A Milestone Year,
and a Call to Action

I t is hard to believe that this is the 25th year of Women Writing for (a) Change, and that I have been a proud member for the past two years!  From the moment I walked into the WWf(a)C building in August 2013, I felt welcomed, accepted and loved unconditionally.  As a blind woman who loves public singing and speaking, I have been known to be reserved and private about my inner feelings. The sharing of personal stories is a refreshing and humbling experience for me, as a listener and as a reader. I enjoy hearing the talents of all the writers and musicians I have met at Women Writing, and consider it an honor to share mine with the community.   Read More

George Ella Lyon  was warmly welcomed by our community at the second of three events in the 25th Anniversary Author Series.  On Friday, May 13th, Women Writing for (a) Change hosted the Kentucky Poet Laureate at a free reading and speaking event.  Well known for her iconic poem
"Where I'm From," which has been used as a writing prompt around the world, George Ella told the audience how that poem has surprised even her with the people it has impacted.   Read More
