Southern Tier Brewing Company
Cheers! Southern Tier Brewing Company is coming to Pittsburgh's North Shore, and Landau Building Company was selected to build their new brew pub and outdoor beer garden!
The interior renovations are roughly 6,300 SF, and exterior renovations are about 8,500 SF. Their location between PNC Park and Heinz Field makes it a perfect spot for game day. We are excited to begin construction with Fukui Architects, the architects for this project. Construction begins in May and will finish by this August, just in time for football season.

Crane at St. Margaret Hospital
Generator Replacement
Work at St. Margaret Hospital is progressing quickly. A crane was just brought on site to lift and install the generator and several other pieces of equipment. Some supporting equipment, like the sound attentuator and penthouse, were lifted to the roof, and others, like the generator itself, were lifted to the wall opening for installation. Check out the pictures below!

Fall Protection
Falls are one of the leading cause of workplace accidents. It is imperative that our workers have the proper training in order to avoid injuries, accidents, fines, and more. The Pittsburgh Carpenters Training Center, just off of Ridge Road by the airport, offers OSHA-approved training courses for superintendents, laborers, project managers, and anyone in the industry. A group of Landau employees, including President Jeff Landau, recently participated in a Saturday class. The class is one day, all day, and participants receive their certification afterwards. Certifications are offered throughout the year, so check out the Carpenter's website for upcoming classes and dates.
The MBA recently launched the gaming app Harness Hero, where players are tested in how to properly set up a fall arrest system. At the end players encounter a fall that results in either a rescue, an injury, or a fatality, depending on how well they set up the fall arrest system.
