Community Gardens:
DeKalb County has an ever growing Community Garden Program, including WalnutGrove Vocational Farm. Open Tuesday through Saturday 10am - 7pm, Sunday 12 - 5pm (closed on Mondays).
The farm sells potted plants, flowers and other items to the public. It's a great way to eat and buy local. Visit their

DeKalb County is proud to be home to two wineries featuring Illinois
Wines, the
only estate distillery in Illinois and two breweries. All five, Prairie State Winery, Waterman Winery, Whiskey Acres Distillery, Cademon Brewing & Forge Brewhouse, all are close together and open this summer. Stay for the day to enjoy a couple stops or the weekend to
savor the wines, spirits and beers at all five. Each host special events throughout the month with new featured selections, live music and more.
