To raise the level of intellectual dialogue and cultural awareness in our community the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) invites  all published authors to attend special panel sessions entitled  Meet the Author  at the ISNA Annual Convention.
ISNA Green Ramadan Initiative

As a part of "ISNA Green Initiative", ISNA and ISNA's Green Masjid Task Group are requesting your masjid/Islamic center to join us this Ramadan in "Greening Our Ramadan" Campaign. Being sensitive to the harm that we do to our environment and committed to living in harmony with nature, we, as Muslims, must seek to implement practices and policies that are environmentally friendly. So this Ramadan, let's live up to our role as stewards of the earth by joining the "Greening Our Ramadan" campaign.

ISNA Held Celebration Banquet in Dallas, TX


Over the weekend, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) hosted over 250 attendees for a Celebration Banquet in Dallas, TX as part of its Striving for Justice Conference Tour. The banquet began with recitation of the Holy Quran by Umair Bakali. Rania Azeez led the Pledge of Allegiance which was followed by an inspirational talk by ISNA President Azhar Azeez. The keynote speaker  Dr. Jamal Badawi and guest speaker Linda Sarsour left the  audience  inspired and moved. ISNA honored Gulam Bakali with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication and commitment to community service.
ISNA Canada Held its 42nd Annual Convention Over the Weekend




Over the weekend ISNA Canada held its 42 nd  Annual Convention. Crowds made their way to the ISNA Canada Headquarters, which played host to women, men, youth, children, a  kangaroo  and renowned speakers from across the continent. Among the renowned speakers were ISNA President  Azhar  Azeez who delivered the Friday khutbah and  ISNA Vice President Dr.  Altaf  Husain. 

ISNA Secretary General Hazem Bata's talk on the management of masajid brought light, awareness and movement to the importance of women, youth and excellence in management practices in modeling m asajid based the prophetic tradition. It was a push to reverse the "un-mosqued" phenomenon.

The convention themed  "Principles of Success, Leading with Love and Fai th" focused on how we as a community must rely on our faith, while full of love, to create a harmonious today and future. ISNA Canada Executive Director  Sh. Abdalla Idris and Director of Religious Affairs  Sh. Alaa El Sayed helped carry this message to the audience.

Imam Siraj  Wahhaj   captivated the audience as he encouraged them to look inwardly and improve internally so that we may better help our communities and the world at large.

The weekend concluded with a beautiful fireworks show, courtesy of the ISNA Canada team, back dropped by a full moon and n asheeds celebrating the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the welcoming of our soon-guest Ramadan.
Mark your calendars for MYNA Jam on June 4!

MYNA is bringing one of its classic events to the heart of Ohio on June 4 at the Islamic Center of Greater Cincinnati (ICGC). This one-day gathering of youth from all over the American Mid-west and parts of Canada, coined "MYNA Jam," is action packed. T he youth create their own space to discuss what matters to them most, team build during workshops and enjoy entertainment by talents local and from afar. MYNA Jam is an amazing way for youth to kick off their summer and get them prepared for Ramadan.  T he theme for the event is  "Evolution of the American Muslim!"
