Dear Parents,
I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all of you and share my excitement for the incredible summer we have planned for your children at Camp Kef and Camp Ma'alot!
I have been a BPY early childhood teacher for six years now (and an early childhood teacher for nearly two decades) and have followed the development and growth of Camp Kef during that time. I love spending the school year working as a kindergarten teacher and now I am thrilled to be leading this highly regarded camp as well. As a true "camp person" at heart, having spent many wonderful summers working at a number of day camps, including Shalom Day Camp and Camp Regesh, I could not be more excited about taking on this role.
Camp gives children opportunities to try new experiences, spend more time outdoors, expand their horizons, make new friends, and have fun with their peers and counselors. Tremendous social and emotional growth takes place during the camp season and it is a real treat to facilitate that growth and development in our campers. At Camp Kef, we are proud that we bring many of the elements of our BPY classrooms to the camp program to ensure a structured, safe, and educational program where children thrive and grow. As an early childhood education professional who loves working with children, I can think of no better way to spend my summer than continuing to create engaging, meaningful, and fun learning experiences for them in a warm, nurturing environment where they feel safe, confident, and excited to explore the world around them.
