Shalom!

Do you have a minute? Let's take a walk!

Walking is so good for us, and Every Step Counts will be starting up again in April. Time to get registered! www.hadassah.org/everystepcounts
This time, we're taking a virtual path from our Hadassah Hospit als to our National Convention in Atlanta, making interestin g stops along the way. And everyone can take part; there's an activity level for all of us. So lace up your walking shoes and join us!

Registration will be opening soon for the aforementioned 98 th   National Convention at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta. Where else can you be with thousands of passionate Hadassah women from across the United   States, sharing ideas, learning, making friends, being inspired, and having lots of fun?  Meet the women who don't just talk the talk, we walk the walk!  Watch your email, and for up-to-the-minute information, "like" Hadassah Southern New England on Facebook .

Let's walk to your closet, and through your basement. Is it time for spring cleaning? Collect those gently used, clean, adult clothing, costume jewelry, and household items, and bring them to Hadassah's Resale Shop in Quincy. It's a win-win!

Our Massachusetts members can walk on Beacon Hill, in Boston, to meet with our state legislators on May 24 th, Women's Advocacy Day. There is power in numbers, and the Power of Women...That's us!

Have you ever walked in the footsteps of our ancestors, in Israel?  You can, on a Hadassah mission!  There are many from which to choose, for different interests, including multigenerational, interfaith, or even fashion/food/wine/design. http://www.hadassah.org/connecting-to-israel/missions.html

And if you've already made plans to travel to Israel, put Hadassah on your itinerary. We can help you arrange a tour of Hadassah Hospital at Ein Kerem, which is far more than just the beautiful Chagall windows. Feel the pride when you see what we have built, together.

So I invite you to walk with me - or saunter, run, amble, skip, or stroll - and I look forward to seeing you along the way.

Happy Purim, Hadassah's anniversary! 104 years never looked so good!

Alan Lightman's grandfather was the family's undisputed patriarch: it was his movie theatre empire that captured the family to prominence in the South, his fearless success that both galvanized and paralyzed his descendants, haunting them for a half century after his death. In this lyrical and impressionistic memoir, Lightman writes about returning to Memphis in an attempt to understand the people he so eagerly left behind forty years earlier.
