Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday...  and #GivingTuesday, the international day of giving.

At Women In Transition, we wanted to flip the script - and give thanks to you, our community.

Thank you so much for your immediate and generous support this fall. The PA budget impasse is into its 5th month (the 153rd day!), but WIT is still here. We are still open to services, and we are still holding strong.

And we wanted to thank you.

Our volunteers, who represent WIT at community events and stay on the LifeLine for hours on end, ready for any crisis or call.

Our staff, who pour so much of themselves into empowering others.

Our board of directors, who generously give us their time, leadership, and guidance.

And our donors - without you, we wouldn't be here at all.

This November - this Black Friday, as a matter of fact - marks my 29th anniversary at Women In Transition. There has been more than one budget crisis and crunch; there have been sleepless nights, and weeks without pay, and only our conviction that our work saved lives.

I have seen firsthand our growth, our purpose, and our impact in the community - from women who cry at hearing the first kind voice over the LifeLine - from women who walk in, saying, "I don't want to be afraid anymore."

This #GivingTuesday, we give thanks.

Sincerely,
