Storybook Brunch delivers magical moments

For nearly three decades Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation has maintained its mission to provide services to families of burn patients, including lodging, meals and transportation. It is able to offer these services for free because of generous donations and grants that are given to SFBF. These funds come in a variety of ways - through boot drives, golf tournaments, bike rides, special events like Storybook Brunch, grants and corporate and individual donors.
The SFBF staff spends much time throughout the year applying for grants to sustain its operating budget. SFBF has been fortunate to receive the Georgia Department of Community Health Grant, including this year's grant of $50,000. The GDCHG grant, legislatively mandated by the Georgia State Legislature, was first distributed in 2008 after the tragic explosion of the Imperial Sugar Refinery in Port Wentworth, Georgia, which killed 14 and injured 42. Vienna Field Trials
"Man and his best friend" had a great time last month at the annual Vienna Field Trials, in Vienna, GA. This event is held each year in memory of former volunteer firefighter, Lee Harris, Jr. with the Vienna Fire Department. Over $8,000 was raised to help SFBF operate the Chavis House. Thank you Vienna Fire Department!!

Throughout March, all Jersey Mike's Subs in the CSRA will be collecting donations for Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation, including a Day of Giving on March 30, when 100% of sales will be designated for SFBF. Thank you, Jersey Mike's Subs!
