Junipero Serra, OFM was a Spanish Franciscan friar who founded a mission in Baja California and the first nine of the 21 Spanish Missions in California from San Diego to San Francisco. This workshop will explore the driving force behind his journey, despite illness and the difficulties of the age in which he lived.

We will take a virtual tour of each mission he founded and finally his road to sainthood and the controversy over Pope Francis' decision to canonize him.
