Magazine Drive
Booklets and letters for the annual Magazine Drive Fundraiser will be distributed August 31 with returns accepted September 8-18.  Encourage students to contact parents of recent YC graduates to encourage them to renew their subscriptions they purchased in previous years.  If you place your order or renewal online, be sure to print the confirmation and submit it with your returns.

New this year!  Your student can earn up to $2,500 in tuition credit for college!  Be sure to review the "Tuition Rewards" flyer in your Magazine Drive packet for details.

As always, we ask for your help to count and record the returns. No experience is necessary.  Training takes less than 15 minutes.  If you would like to help, please  click here  for the form to complete and send it to the office c/o Mrs. Sheila Gick or email it to [email protected] .

After School Pick-up
After observing and assessing the Vander Avenue parking lot during afternoon pickup, we have decided to implement a parking policy with regard to the lanes coming into the parking lot to improve student safety.

Parking, with great caution, is only permitted immediately alongside the curbing and stanchions lining the grass as depicted in the photo.  If you are not able to secure a spot immediately next to the curbing, you cannot form a second parked line as this prohibits traffic flow and crates a dangerous situation for those leaving the building and crossing the parking lot.  Please use vacant parking spaces.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding in keeping our students safe and our lot secure.

Student Pictures
The Schintz Studio is offering packages for your student's school photograph.  Order envelopes will be sent home prior to the September 3 picture day.  Forms and pricing are also available on the Forms & Documents page of the YC website.  All students will be photographed and Schintz Studio will provide each student with a yearbook photo and an ID card.  Picture packages are available for you to purchase; you need to fill out the order envelope, which allows you to pre-select the package that best suits your needs.  After filling out your information, please insert the prepayment into the envelope.  Your student will need to bring the completed envelope to school and give it to the photographer on September 3.  Only students who have brought their envelope will have packages printed.  Reorders will be available after you receive your original package if you need additional photos.  A picture retake day will be scheduled (entire intact packages of unaccepted pictures must be returned for an appointment on retake day).  All packages include retouching.  All photographs will have basic facial retouching which includes blemish removal and smoothing the complexion.

Lunch Accounts
We are pleased to offer a new Point of Sale purchasing system for student lunches.  This system is connected directly to the MMS online parent portal accessible through the York Catholic website.  Parents simply log in to the MMS parent portal, choose "View Cafeteria Account," click "Students," and follow the options to deposit money into their students' accounts.  As parents, you will be able to view what your student is purchasing in the cafeteria.  To ensure we are using this system to its potential, everyone is required to use their Lunchtime account log in to pay for his or her lunch meals.  Students may provide cash at the time of purchase (after logging in on the key pad at check out).  When doing so they will be asked if they would like to add the remaining change to their accounts.  The following policies have been established regarding Lunchtime Accounts and Balances.  We encourage parents to sign up for email notification when their Lunchtime account balances are getting low.

  • It is the student and parent's responsibility to monitor the Lunchtime account for balance information and retain a positive balance at all times.
  • If a student has a lunchtime balance at $0.00 or below, they will only have the option to purchase a lunch consisting of a cheese sandwich, fruit, and drink (1% white milk, iced tea, or orange drink) for $3.00.
  • Students with Lunchtime account balances below negative $10.00 will be issued detention until the negative balance has been resolved.
  • We will not issue refunds on Lunchtime accounts until the last two weeks of the school year.
  • Report cards and MMS access will be held at the end of each quarter if Lunchtime balances are not current.
  • Checks will not be accepted in person for cafeteria food purchases.
