Announcing the
IIE  Construction Division Student Paper Competition Results



Big congratulations to Sadegh Asgari of Columbia University and Ali Shafaat of Purdue University for winning the 2016 student paper competition with their paper "Simulating Construction Bidding Using Agent-Based Modeling!" These students will be presenting their winning paper at the Annual Conference in Anaheim, CA in May, and we look forward to hearing about their work. The award, sponsored by the ConAm Group, provides complimentary conference registration, a ticket to the conference awards banquet, and a cash prize.
 
Also to be congratulated are the 2 nd and 3 rd place winners:
  • 2nd place: Becca Keller of the Milwaukee School of Engineering for "Application of Agile Manufacturing in the Large-Scale Construction Industry" 
  • 3rd place: Heta Lawrence of the University of Washington for "Improving Strength of Pervious Concrete" 
 
We salute all of the competition entrants for their hard work and interest in construction in Industrial Engineering.

Construction Research Track - ISERC 2016


Our track looks forward to a high-quality program of research presentations at the 2016 ISERC conference. In the first round of submission, 9 abstracts were received, and although paper submission was optional, three authors submitted full papers in the second round.

The Construction Division invites members to submit articles on construction topics through our publications committee for publication in the monthly Industrial Engineer magazine.
