Shueh-Li Ong & The Electric Golem
Concert

Special live performance!
Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 8PM.

The History Center in Tompkins County

401 E. State Street

First Floor

Ithaca, NY 14850

This concert is part of the ongoing events sponsored by:
"SWITCHED-ON: THE BIRTH OF THE MOOG SYNTHESIZER"

Shueh-li Ong is a world-renown thereminist, and was a student of classical piano and electronic music at the Elder Conservatorium in Australia. What one notices on listening to Shueh-li, is her distinctive use of the ethereal Moog Theremin, exotic synth hooks, rustic tin-whistle, plucky guqin and rich vocal harmonies.

The Electric Golem are Trevor Pinch and James Spitznagel. Together they create modern psychedelic mindscapes thanks to Pinch's use of the Moog Prodigy, Minimoog and his homemade modular synth, and Spitznagel's battery of digital devices and his employment of the Moog iPad apps, Animoog and Filtatron.

Join us for this exclusive performance held at The History Center in Tompkins County. Free and open to the public.

Switched-On is the first major exhibition on Bob Moog and Moog Synthesizers to occur in the region, and will run through May 31st, 2015.
