BB&T is a Hispanic Unity of Florida partner, supporting HUF's Civic Engagement program. This program provides high quality, technology-supported citizenship classes with a qualified teacher, a curriculum approved and recommended by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), a small class environment and a convenient class schedule.
The program also assists clients with the preparation for the naturalization process, including one-on-one assistance with the N-400 form (citizenship application), the citizenship interview, legal advice and referrals.

This past Saturday, American Express volunteers joined Hispanic Unity and the Miami New Americans Campaign at Marlin's Park to help more than 400 people with free citizenship assistance. A huge THANK YOU to our friends at American Express for volunteering with us and for supporting HUF's work in naturalization and citizenship.

Working side-by-side with schools, government, and non-profit partners, Comcast has connected more than 600,000 families--over two-million low-income Americans-- to the power of the Internet in their homes through its Internet Essentials program.
Internet Essentials, which
provides families with affordable access to the Internet, was
originally designed for families with children eligible to receive a free school lunch from the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Over the years, the program has expanded to include to children eligible for a reduced price school lunch and families with children in all types of schools. Most recently,
on a pilot basis and in an effort to provide greater opportunities and bridge the digital divide, the program was expanded to low-income seniors and low-income community college students.
