PA HOME SHOW 2016 
The NKBA Susquehanna Valley Chapter was represented at the PA Home Show this year at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg. 





Danielle Gundrum, CAPS from Oasis Showrooms by APR Supply in Lebanon and Ethan Musselman from Rich Tomkins Company presented to over 100 people at the PA Home Show in Harrisburg on Thursday, March 10th on behalf of the NKBA. Their presentation covered the latest in kitchen and bathroom design trends.

  1. AIY is providing FREE Revit classes every other Monday from 5:30pm-6:30pm, taught by Kim Fuhrman of LSC Design. This is open to anyone who wants to participate. Please contact Sam Wurzbacher at [email protected] to sign up.

NKBA: How did you get started in the industry? 
Lisa: As a girl growing up sharing a room with my younger sister, my family knew which side of the room was mine. It was always neat, organized, tidy and everything in its place.  This being said, I think I had the "bug" back then. After raising my family and providing for them by working in other facets, I decided to return back to school and get my degree in Interior Design. I'm glad I did! I love what I do and have no regrets. Seeing a clients dreams for their spaces become reality is a great feeling to have and I'm blessed to be able to provide them assistance. 
 
NKBA: What was one of your favorite projects you've worked on and why? 
Lisa: One of my favorite projects was a kitchen remodel for one of my friends I've known since high school. I had been talking with her husband about the space and it's possibilities when suddently he passed away unexpectedly. After a few months went by, I shared this information with my friend and she decided to move forward with making his wishes and dreams for the space a reality. I believe he was with us every step of the process. She loved the transformation of her '70's kitchen into a more modern and open concept. I believe he loves it too! Being able to provide this service to my friend after such a tremendous loss, gave me such pride and gratitude that I'll carry with me always.

NKBA: Why do you think it's important to participate on the NKBA Susquehanna Valley Chapter Board of Directors? 
Lisa: I think it's important to participate with the NKBA Susquehanna Valley Chapter Board of Directors for several reasons. I believe it's good to be a part of a great organization that works in the same industry that you do and you can share ideas and receive valuable opinions from. It also gives you a voice in your chapter to share ideas for how to improve the organization and to keep your chapter current with informational meetings and technology.  You meet great people and have friends for life!  
 
NKBA: What is one piece of advice that you abide by? 
Lisa:"Do what you love, love what you do" and from Bill Rancic directly "Never quit!"
