HCA-owned hospital in South Florida proposes expansion
Brian Bandell | SFBJ

Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation could build a significant expansion on its campus.

Hospital owner HCA Holdings (NYSE: HCA) went before the city commission on March 23 seeking approval for a three-story 85,046-square-foot building to be added on the south side of its existing building. That would add 26 patient rooms and a new entrance lobby to what's now a 224-bed hospital at 8201 W. Broward Blvd.
