Boyz Having Fun

We hope everyone had a great weekend.

We did!

What's going on at the gym? We're fully into the new cycle: Box Squat, Sumo Deadlift, and Bench Press with a Strong Wo-Man focus. Lots of fun in the weeks ahead with these lifts!

Many of you PR'd on your Mad Dawg Total last week - you know who you are! Congratulations! Similarly, several of you did your first Mad Dawg Total. The purpose of the monthly Mad Dawg Total is to learn how to warm up and lift a heavy single (or a heavy set) within a 15 minute period, much like you'd do in a competition. The other purpose is to start knowing how much weight you lift in each of the lifts being tested so that you have data with which to train those lifts in the future. If you're not sure about how all this works, please ask a coach.

We are having the Mad Dawg Open on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 9 AM. Please come by to cheer on the lifters. The last meet was super fun!

With Fall right around the corner, people start feeling 'crafty'. For those of you who like to make cool stuff, there's a Mad Dawg Craft Night & Potluck coming in November. Save the date: Friday, November 13, 6 - 10 PM.

See you at the gym,
