Immersion
is a Silicon Valley-based tech company that focuses on bringing electronic touch-screen actions to life through the use of haptics technology. SC Builders, in partnership with Fennie + Mehl Architects principal Doug Mehl and senior designer Jenna Ruth, worked to relocate and rebuild the company's office headquarters in San Jose. The team transformed the space into a flexible office environment for employees as well as a product showcase for attracting prospective talent and clientele.
Project work included complete interior demolition and build-out, as well as offices and lab infrastructure. Architectural features include frameless glass walls and doors, floating-cloud ceilings, polished concrete, kitchen / all-hands area with contemporary banquet seating and stone top islands, R&D lab, and custom millwork niche walls to display company product and intellectual property.
