Volunteer Drivers use their own vehicle to drive children/youth to appointments and activities. Children are assisted in and out of the vehicle safely. Volunteers escort the child(ren) or youth to and from the appointment or activity.

WHO WILL BE THE 2016 "NELLE CARTER WOMAN OF THE YEAR"?
Nominations are now being accepted for the "Nelle Carter Woman of the Year" Award!!!
The award will be presented at "Best Western Plus Mariposa Inn & Conference Centre"on Wed. May 11th, 2016 and hosted by the Orillia Business Women's Association (OBWA).The OBWA is very excited to announce that "Carey Moran" from KICX FM will MC the awards dinner once again this year. At this awards Gala the OBWA will also present the recipient of the Young Women of the Year chosen from 4 high schools in Orillia.
Nominees for the "Nelle Carter Woman of the Year" Award (Women of Distinction) may be from any of the following areas: City of Orillia, Township of Ramara, Township Of Or-Medonte, Township of Severn andThe Chippewas Of Rama First Nation.
The award is named for the late Nelle Carter who was an inspiration to women in our area. She was president of the family business, president of the Orillia Quota Club, the first woman elected to Orillia Council as Alderman and active in St. Paul's United Church. The recipient of the award represents Nelle Carter's high standards and value.
This is an opportunity to nominate a woman who, in your opinion, meets this criteria in both her business/volunteer and personal life: achieves excellence in her place of work; has the ability to strive for higher goals; works as a volunteer to improve the lives of individuals in her community or contributes to society in her own way; demonstrates leadership in ideas and new initiatives; or has done something in particular with respect to any of the above activities which would make her a "Woman of Distinction".
