The AMA has announced a new partnership with CycleTrader.com that provides a 20 percent discount for AMA members on top-of-the-line classified ads to sell or trade their motorcycles.

AMA members can take advantage of the discount by using an exclusive promo code found in the members-only section of the AMA website. Additionally, powersports enthusiasts can now access bikes for sale on Cycle Trader through the AMA website, www.americanmotorcyclist.com, under the heading, "Classifieds."
The American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation has enacted changes for the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame that increase the Hall of Fame's inclusiveness.

The changes include:
  • A Highly Qualified Candidate category that will empower the independent Hall of Fame Selection Committees to nominate candidates whose accomplishments have taken place outside the public eye but have played a significant role in motorcycling.
  • Starting with the Hall of Fame Class of 2016, all AMA Life Members with at least 25 consecutive years of membership will be invited to vote for Hall of Fame inductees. This includes all AMA Charter Life Members and paid AMA Life Members who have at least 25 consecutive years of membership.
The Clear Creek National Recreation Area and Conservation Act, which would establish a national recreation area in California and reopen about 240 miles of off-highway-vehicle riding trails, was reported out of the House Committee on Natural Resources Committee on March 16 and now goes before the House for consideration.

To the casual observer, Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman might seem like grade-A gluttons for punishment.

After all, the two actors have ridden across the majority of the globe, through countries not exactly known for their plush accommodations. In 2004 the two rode and camped literally around the world-eastward from London through Europe, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and the U.S.-for a documentary film and book titled Long Way Round. More recently they rode BMW R1200GSs south from the upper tip of Scotland to the lower tip of Africa, pretty much by themselves and without the massive support crew you might imagine.
