Begins Passover Food Drive

Dear Friends,
 
JFS Passover Food Drive I hope you are enjoying yet another gorgeous California springtime. With sufficient rainfall, we should be able to enjoy the earth's bounty...and with your support all who are hungry can enjoy the bounty of Passover. Our annual community-wide Passover Food Drive has begun. Please give generously. The hundreds of families and seniors you help will be so grateful.

10th Annual Passover Food Drive

Join JFS SV in making the celebration of Passover possible 
 
"Let all who are hungry come and eat."
   
Passover Food Bin Join Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley in our Passover Food Drive to benefit needy individuals, families, and seniors.

Food barrels will be placed March 25th (thru April 13th) in the Levy Family Campus lobbies as well as area synagogues and schools including: 
   
Congregation Beth David
Congregation Emeth 
Congregation Shir Hadash
Congregation Sinai 
Temple Emanu-El
South Peninsula Hebrew Day School  

We appreciate your contributions of the following wrapped Kosher for Passover 2016 food items:

We Need Volunteers! 

Help JFS Collect and Distribute Passover Food!

Your generous time and helping hands make the celebration of Passover possible for families and seniors in need. Whether you can give one hour or twenty, your donation of time and caring will make a difference. Please join us for any of the following activities:
Pick up Passover Food Drive Donation Bins
March 25. Deliver the food donation bins to area synagogues and day schools and pick up when the drive is over.
Mailing Assistance
Early April . Help prepare the Jewish Family News mailing.
Food Drive Sorting
Early April . Help us sort food from our food drive. For adults and teens.
 
Pack Food
March 31 (evening), April 1 (10:00 AM- 1:00 PM),
April 3 (times to be arranged)
April 10th (times to be arranged)
Be part of Good Deeds Day: A global day of doing good.
Pack Passover food packages for seniors. For adults and teens.
Deliver Food Packages
April (times to be arranged, 1-2 weeks before Passover)
Deliver Passover food packages and visit with local seniors before Passover.

Deliver Holiday Bags to
Senior Facilities and Nursing Homes
April (times to be arranged, weeks before Passover)
Deliver small Passover holiday bags.

Our Good Morning JFS! guests had so many good things to say about our event last month. 265 guests joined us at breakfast to hear JFS stories - and came away with so much more than lox and bagels.

Jewish Family Services is seeking a Full - Time Career Counselor to assist with employment preparation and job development for recently -
arrived refugees in the Connections to Work program.
