The PSAT/NMSQT-a key step in your child's journey to college
On Wednesday, October 14, all 9th-11th grade students will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT, a test of the skills and knowledge essential for college and career that students are learning in class.
We encourage your child to take advantage of the many benefits the PSAT/NMSQT offers:
  • Connects students to colleges and universities across the country, and to scholarship organizations.
  • Prepares students for the new SAT® and college and fuels practice recommendations on Khan Academy®.
  • Matches students with AP® courses that make the most of their academic strengths. AP classes can provide an edge in the admission process, and an opportunity to earn college credit.
It's a wonderful chance for our 9th-11th grade students to be recognized and rewarded for the skills and knowledge they've earned.

MPIREMPIRE BROADCASTING
CALLING ALL INTERESTED STUDENTS!
Milton High School, and the NFHS Network are pleased to announce our partnership in producing live Eagle athletic events throughout the year. Broadcasts that are produced right here at Milton are aired on the NFHS Network for Eagle fans to enjoy from their phone, laptop or computer, whenever they want!
We are looking for students to join our broadcast club as we expand this venture at our school. Each student will be trained on how to produce school events and live sports broadcasts and introduced to the software that we use. Students will be assigned different roles throughout each broadcast to broaden their skills in either production, videography or live broadcasting. The program gives students an opportunity to gain hands on experience to get prepared for college and professional careers in the journalism industry all while increasing the school's brand and school spirit throughout the community.
Our goal at Mpire Broadcasting is to help raise awareness of Eagle excellence both on and off the field, and we need YOU to help us do this. If any of this interests you, please come to our first meeting on Wednesday 10/7 at 7:45AM in room 6211 in the gym. We look forward to you joining our Mpire Broadcasting Club for this upcoming school year.

PERFORMING ARTS
US ARMY ALL-AMERICAN BOWL BAND SELECTS 2 FROM MILTON!
Two members of Milton's senior class, Susan Miller and Michael Makrides have received the highest honor a high school marching band student can earn: being named as US Army All-Americans!  In January they will travel to San Antonio to learn a show as members of the All-American Marching Band that performs at halftime during the US Army All-American Bowl Game.  They earned the honor of being selected to this elite group by submitting video recorded musical, marching and personal interview among a pool of thousands of talented nominations nationwide.

The All-American selection tour stopped by Milton last Monday honored Susan and Michael in a ceremony in the auditorium. Susan plays marimba in our front ensemble section, and Mike plays snare drum in the battery section.
