The camp will utilize a multidisciplinary approach to provide hands-on experience with techniques used to study causes and spread of disease. Each STEM discipline will contribute to analysis of the source and consequences of a simulated disease outbreak. Students will be grouped into small teams that will be mentored by university college students. Each team will work to identify and understand the pattern of disease spread.
These activities will be a mix of both indoor and outdoor explorations. A typical day will include 2 or 3 activities focused on a particular discipline, so that campers are exposed to an exciting variety of topics and applications.
