JUNE 2015
Manage Your Emotions For A Low-Stress Summer
Get ready to soak up the sun: Summer is here at last!
As much as we all love the experiences the warm season brings, it's good to recognize that with it comes a range of new emotions and challenges. Perhaps you have a family cook-out coming up, a wedding, a vacation, or even a business trip. All of these exciting events can bring on feelings of anxiety and unrest.
To help you calm your anxious energy and enjoy yourself more this season, my associates and I have created several resources for you, including:
-
Insurance-eligible online support group: In May, we introduced the online anxiety support group. The group has now been broadened to focus on more than only anxiety, and it will continue to meet on Thursdays at 8 p.m. this month.
- Social anxiety help: I've also been blogging quite a bit. Check out my new, regular column on social anxiety at Anxiety.org, where you can feel free to post your own questions. And don't miss my personal blog post giving you quick tips to beat social anxiety in business meetings.
- A unique workshop for diet and workout success: With swimsuit season upon us, Amanda Pelcher, LMFT, and Rob Kachko, ND, LAc will host a 1.5-hour workshop on how to use cognitive behavioral therapy techniques for success in adhering to your healthy diet and exercise regimen.
Read more on all of these exciting opportunities below! And as always, I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to hit the reply button and tell me all about your summer plans, your most recent achievements, or anything that's troubling you. You can always send me any other comments, questions, or suggestions too. Remember, if you ever feel inclined to reach out, I am only a click away!
Wishing you a wonderful week,
