Bring Loose Change Next Week to Raise Money for the Library

The week of March 28, we are focusing our Panther efforts on raising money to support our library.  Due to budget cuts, these are much needed funds that will allow Mrs. O'Neal to purchase books and materials.  We are asking students to bring in as much loose change as possible to their classrooms .  Loose change will be collected Monday, March 28 through Thursday, March 31, and we'll see which classroom raises the most funds!

Each student in the winning classroom will receive a gift certificate good for one new book at our April Book Fair !

TO HELP RAISE FUNDS AND
MAKE THE WEEK MORE FUN...

MONDAY, 3/28-  bring $1 and you get to WEAR A HAT AT SCHOOL!

TUESDAY, 3/29 - bring $1 and you get to WEAR A FAVORITE TEAM JERSEY!

WEDNESDAY, 3/30- bring $1 and you get to BRING A STUFFED ANIMAL!

THURSDAY, 3/31- bring $1 and you get to WEAR PAJAMAS!

On Friday, if we've met our fundraising goal, we will celebrate with popcorn in the lunch room during each grade's lunch time!

Plant Sale is Coming Soon!

With warmer weather around the corner, please remember the Prairie Plant Sale when planning your spring landscaping and gardening. We will once again be offering beautiful flowers and plants to help raise money for to send next year's 6th graders to Wildwood! Watch for online ordering information shortly after spring break.

Plant delivery/pickup is scheduled for Friday, April 22, and Saturday, April 23.

* We'll have very few plants available the day of pickup, so be sure to take advantage of our easy preordering!

Fun Fact of the Week

Prairie's one room schoolhouse was large compared to others of its time, measuring 60 ft. long by 40 ft. wide. According to Edgar A. Porter, it was called the "Crooked School" because the building leaned slightly to the north.
