The College Football Hall of Fame opened its doors Aug. 23, 2014, in the heart of Atlanta's sports, entertainment and tourism district. Adjacent to Centennial Olympic Park, the new Hall provides visitors with a highly immersive, interactive and engaging experience using a blend of historic college football artifacts and state-of-the-art, interactive multimedia exhibits. The Blitz
On April 23, the 12th Annual Pat's Run will take place in Tempe, Ariz. Held in honor of College Football Hall of Famer and 2006 NFF Distinguished American Pat Tillman , the 4.2 mile run/walk benefits the Tillman Scholars program.  

College Football Hall of Famer Dre Bly (North Carolina) will take part in FOX Sports South's series "The Panel" beginning on March 27 at 9 p.m. ET, which features some of the nation's top college football players answering tough questions from a panel of former players.

College Football Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas (Oklahoma State) will be the honored guest at the Greater Allegany County (N.Y.) Chamber of Commerce's annual dinner on April 1.

2016 College Football Hall of Fame electee Randall Cunningham (UNLV) watched his 18-year-old daughter Vashti this weekend become the youngest woman this century to win a world indoor track and field championship gold medal in any event, clearing 6 feet, 5 inches in the high jump. 
Over The Middle
The NFF Capital District (N.Y.) Chapter held its annual awards banquet March 7 at the Wolf Road Ramada in Albany, honoring 58 scholar-athletes with more than 350 friends, family, coaches, teachers and football enthusiasts in attendance. 

During the NFF Los Angeles Chapter's Scholar-Athlete Banquet on March 18, the Los Angeles Rams announced they will support the chapter's efforts, writing a check for $2,500 to the Belmont High School football program in honor of the team's coach, Gregg Barden, who was named the chapter's coach of the year.

The NFF Pasadena/San Gabriel (Calif.) Chapter's 46th Annual Scholar-Athlete Banquet will take place March 22 at the Pasadena Convention Center.

The NFF Tom Lombardo/St. Louis Chapter will host a luncheon on March 23 at Lombardo's Airport Restaurant featuring Missouri Valley Conference Commissioner Patty Viverito

The annual New Balance NFF Jack Grinold/Eastern Massachusetts Chapter Coaches Clinic will be held Saturday, April 2, in the Yawkey Building at Boston College. A sellout crowd of 300 coaches is expected to hear the six clinicians, followed by attendance at the Boston College spring practice later in the day. Those scheduled to speak are Boston College offensive coordinator Scott Loeffler and defensive coordinator Jim Reid, Harvard offensive coordinator Joel Lamb and defensive coordinator Scott Larkee, Amherst (Mass.) head coach E.J. Mills and retired Maine head coach Jack Cosgrove.

The NFF Valley of the Sun (Ariz.) Chapter announced the names of the scholar-athletes who will be honored at its 35th Annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet April 2 at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort and Villas.
 
The NFF New York City Chapter will hold its Elite Eleven Dinner on April 5 at the New York Athletic Club, honoring the top scholar-athletes in New York City and presenting New York Jets and former Central Florida wide receiver Brandon Marshall with its Accorsi Award for his work with PROJECT 375 , a nonprofit organization dedicated to eradicating the stigma surrounding mental illness and disorders.

The NFF Gridiron Club of Dallas Chapter's Eighth Annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet will take place April 10 at the Marriott Quorum. Longtime Dallas sports talk radio staple Norm Hitzges will receive the 2016 Distinguished Texan Award, the chapter's highest honor, and new North Texas head coach Seth Littrell will be the guest speaker. A number of other awards will be presented to area football leaders.

The NFF National Capital (D.C.) Chapter will host its 10th Annual Scholar-Athlete Banquet on April 10 at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Va. Army head coach Jeff Monken will give the keynote address. The Clermont Sun did a wonderful profile on John Hale, who will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" and "God Bless America" at the event.

The NFF Central Indiana Chapter's Scholar-Athlete Banquet is scheduled for April 16 at the Indianapolis Colts practice facility. New Ball State head football coach Mike Neu will be the guest speaker, and former Stanford and current Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, a 2008 NFF National High School Scholar-Athlete, will make a special  appearance. 2015 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Hank Spencer (Mount Union [Ohio]) will also be honored.
 
College Football Hall of Famer Chuck Cecil (Arizona) will be the keynote speaker at the NFF Southern Arizona Chapter's 19th Annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet April 17 in Tucson.

The NFF Emo DiNitto/Rhode Island Chapter will be holding its 29th Annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Dinner on May 2 at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, R.I. The chapter will recognize 28 scholar-athletes, including 12 Golden Dozen and 16 Silver honorees, for their outstanding academic and football achievements. Two of the Golden Dozen honorees will receive $1,000 scholarships, increasing the chapter's total grants to more than $140,000. The chapter will also honor its Distinguished American Louis Marciano, Contribution to Amateur Football Award recipient Ted Stebbins and Football Official Joseph Schwab.
 
The NFF Touchdown Club of Houston Chapter will hold its 50th Anniversary "Touchdowner of the Year" Banquet on May 4 at the Westin Galleria Ballroom. NFF Chairman and College Football Hall of Famer Archie Manning (Mississippi) will be the guest of honor. The chapter will host a Hall of Fame Golf Tournament the day before at Wildcat Golf Course.

The 41st annual NFF Jack Grinold/Eastern Massachusetts Chapter Scholar-Athlete Banquet will be held May 15 at the Boston/Newton Marriott. The banquet will feature 33 High School Scholar-Athlete honorees and the presentation of the Daly, Schluntz and Burton Awards. Boston College play-by-play announcer Jon Meter-Parel will return as the emcee.
