The campus is quiet this week with our students enjoying spring break before the start of a busy quarter. We have a number of exciting events planned for the spring, including two next week. On March 30, UC San Diego alum and Pacific Leadership Fellow Antonio Ortiz-Mena will give a talk titled "What Does NAFTA Have to Teach Us about the Trans-Pacific Partnership?" And on April 1, we will hold the second Frontera Fridays of the year on "Port to Port: San Diego & Ensenada Maritime Infrastructure."  View a full listing of events today .

On May 19, we will unveil the results of our fieldwork on education and migration in the San Diego-Tijuana region at an event in Tijuana with our partners at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California and El Colegio de la Frontera Norte. And at the end of the month, we will travel to New York for the 50th anniversary of the Latin American Studies Association, where we will celebrate our own 35th anniversary with our network of former fellows.

For live updates on events and conferences, follow us on Facebook and Twitter. I look forward to seeing you soon!
