"Golf is a nice walk spoiled." Mark Twain
|
Ok, golf can be a pain in the neck, that's true. But it is also fun when I remember the following:
- That it affords me the camaraderie of my friends.
- When I manage to have fun playing, even when not playing well.
- When I remember to enjoy the beauty of the course.
- When I resist giving unsolicited lessons to my companions, especially those who play better than I do.
- When I'm thankful just to be out there playing.
- When I realize I can always get better; that's what lessons are for.
- When I remember that it is, after all, just a game.
- Whenever I make new friends or have an awesome conversation.
- When I realize there is always tomorrow to try again.
