Action Day Changed to Feb. 17!
January 22, 2016

Dear WH&LA Lodging Member:

After just learning that the State Assembly now plans to adjourn their biennium session on Thursday, February 18, instead of at the end of February, the WH&LA has shifted our
2016 Action Day to Wednesday, February 17, to ensure attendees can meet with their state Assembly Representatives or their key staff to discuss issues still underway at the Capitol.

The following are the basics:
2016 WH&LA Action Day
Wednesday, February 17
Hilton Monona Terrace in Madison
10:15 AM - 3:30 PM
Registration: $29 for Lodging Members
Deadline: February 10 (space is limited)

Who should attend? We are looking for lodging property owners or their key managers interested in learning more about the many state legislative issues impacting our lodging industry in Wisconsin, and interested in meeting with their state legislators or their key staff to discuss a few of these top issues.

What is included? Speakers from the State Legislature, Issue Updates and Tips on Meeting with Legislators from the WH&LA, a Resource Packet on the issues and a brief background on your State Legislators, guidance at the State Capitol, and the chance to meet with peers from around the state over a provided lunch.

Why Should You Attend? To borrow a well-known saying "The world is run by those who show up." If you would like to have a voice in some of the issues that impact our lodging industry, this will be great timing to share with your legislators how important tourism is to Wisconsin's economy and how helping our industry instead of challenging it is so important in their own district. You will become more aware of the issues, how the legislative process works, and see first hand what legislators do.

What If I Already Signed Up For the Original Date (Feb. 24th)? The WH&LA Office will call each person already registered early next week to see if you can make the new date. If you cannot, and you let us know anytime prior to midnight next Friday (January 29) we will issue a full refund.

Register online or download the registration form.
Space will be limited to the first 70 lodging members that register!
