Program T itle:
"Effective Prospect Cultivation Events"

The first step with any prospect is to introduce your organization and projects through a series of cultivation tactics.   The Cultivation Event has successfully proven to be a way to initiate new relationships with prospects and donors with board members,  volunteers and staff participating.  Barbara H. McColm, associate with M. Gale & Associates, LLC, will share the steps of how to conduct host events while  Clint Riley, Executive Director of Texas Center for Arts + Academics, will share  success stories and outcomes of cultivation events showcasing his organization.

Presenters:

Barbara H. McColm, CFRE
has more than 28 years years of experience in non-profit fundraising. Prior to working as a fundraising consultant, Barbara worked for two non-profit corporations, Harris Methodist Health Foundation in Fort Worth, Texas and Sears Methodist Retirement Foundation in west Texas. Barbara has been a fundraising consultant since 2005 and is currently a consultant with M. Gale & Associates, LLC.

Clint Riley  has been the Executive Director of Texas Center for Arts + Academics since June, 2012, (formerly Texas Boys Choir, Inc.) overseeing Texas Boys Choir, Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts, and the Texas School of the Arts located in Fort Worth. Previously he worked at the Santa Fe Opera , Dallas Theater Center and Dallas Black Dance Theatre.

President's Message

FEBRUARY 2016

Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo and cold weather must mean - February is near!

If you joined us January, you learned tried and true networking techniques to introduce yourself to prospective donors. Now, how do you introduce those prospects to our organizations? Join us Monday, February 8, as we learn how to incorporate a successful cultivation event into your annual plan.

Behind the scenes of AFP Fort Worth Metro Chapter, we have been hard at work submitting our AFP International Headquarters (AFP IHQ) online paperwork for the AFP Accord, the first of many online submissions for AFP IHQ. We are officially in Accord to the AFP IHQ standards of an AFP Chapter. So what exactly does that mean? Officially from the AFP IHQ website, here is the rationale for Accord:

In addition to reviewing the activities of all chapters and enabling AFP to assess the services we currently provide, the Accord process is vital to maintaining AFP's ability to offer all U.S. chapters 501(c)(3) status and provide Directors' and Officers' liability insurance and General liability insurance to all chapters.

We are thrilled to remain in Accord!

I look forward to seeing each of you on Monday, February 8, at the Fort Worth Club.
