Message from Coach Olson to Lady Rams  Softball Players & Families

We will have our clean up day on both the Varsity and JV softball fields at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday February 6th.This is mandatory for all Softball players unless they are busy that day with a winter sport.  We will start with a brief parent meeting at the varsity field at 9:00 am.  I would like each student athlete to bring $5.00 and we will have pizza for lunch.

We are planning to paint the interior of the dugouts forest green.  If any parents can bring forest green paint, a sprayer, rollers, brushes, and masking materials that would be greatly appreciated.  We are also planning on painting the wood portion of the bleachers.  Other general clean up will take place.

The parent meeting agenda will cover player, parent, coach, and fan expectations.  It will also cover what is needed for donations and volunteers for the Lead Off Classic Tournament March 2nd - 5th and for the double header against San Joaquin Memorial on March 12th. Service hours will be earned for work and or donations for the clean up day, for the Lead Off Classic, and for the SJM double header.  I would also like to introduce Cindy Salinas (Dani's mom), as she has graciously agreed to be the team mom.

Please email  me at   [email protected] if you are able to provide any paint materials for the clean up day.

Go Rams,

Message from
Blaine Geissel, Activities Director

Grand Opening! The Garces Business class would like to welcome you to come in and look at what they have managed to accomplish this year. The class is supposed to be a"virtual" business class, but in true Garces student fashion of over achieving and applying themselves fully, they have started a very real business. That T-Shirt Co. makes and sells all kinds of shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and headwear(check out Coach Cody's new custom made beanie). Starting now you can purchase all of your Garces uniform shirts from our store. Norman's will be used only for shorts, pants and skirts. All other uniform items will be sold right from our student run store on campus. We would also encourage you to think about using them for any of your own business uniforms or event type shirts. It has been an incredible adventure that is really just beginning. I hope more students will continue to enroll in the business class and continue to grow That T-Shirt Co. and the business department.
There is even more going in with Activities with Winter Formal on January 30th at Fleur de Lis. ASB has been working very hard, with special help from Mrs. Jerica Hawkins, to put on an incredible event. Please save the date for February 19th, we will be having a second night rally! There will be multiple food vendors starting at 6:00 selling pizza, hamburgers, ice cream and many other items and all students and parents are invited to attend. The rally starts at 7:00 and will be crazy fun.
And speaking of crazy, we are already looking at Grad Night (I will give you a moment for parents of seniors to wipe away a tear)...the end is coming fast. Grad Night is the Seniors only trip to Magic Mountain and money with permission slips are encouraged to be turned in now ($130.00 before March 1st, $150 after). The night includes round trip bus ride by Classic Charter, yes we will bring them home, entry into Magic Mountain, all you can eat one time dinner, souvenir and exclusive rides with a return voucher for Hurricane Harbor. Really a great night so pay early and save.
There are many more events along the way so look for more information here or email [email protected] if you have any ideas or questions. It is a blessing to work with your kids and I appreciate your choice to send them to Garces. And come check out That T-Shirt Co! student store.

Sincerely,
Blaine Geissel
