March on the Rooftop - Week 1
We had a blast on the Rooftop on Sunday celebrating WinShape Camps for Communities and starting a new virtue - Hope: believing that something good can come out of something bad. God offers hope to us as believers. A hope that brings light into the darkness and a Savior to the world! God promised a Savior from the beginning; from Adam and Eve to us today. He offers us hope through eternal life through faith in Jesus. We started the month in John 11 and how Jesus brought hope to two sisters who lost Lazarus. He showed that he is stronger than death by raising Lazurus in 4 days after he died.
Our bottom line: Whatever happens, remember how powerful God is!
This month's memory verse is also from John, John 16:33b, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Learn together with your child about sharing Jesus with the world!
You are encouraged to have your children bring their Bible to church. We use them and it's awesome when they have their own to use and bookmark for later.

March 20: Crosstown Kids Easter Celebration. You won't want to miss this precious tradition at HMUMC! We are expecting a lot of people from the community this year, please help us out by donating filled eggs for the egg hunt. No chocolate or peanuts, please, and tape them closed so they won't pop open during the hunt!
