Consider pointing out the potential the Alaska agriculture industry has for growth:

• Potatoes are one of the top 5 agricultural products in Alaska, netting over $3 million annually and produce roughly 10% of the potatoes consumed

• 67% of farmers surveyed said they would expand with more market options

Also, thank the Senate subcommittee members for supporting agriculture programs.

Remember, the House Finance Committee still needs to add these into the operating budget, so stay engaged with them
