Americans for Prosperity 2015 Ratings

Dear

I work hard to protect the rights of Pima County taxpayers.  Many of our citizens are on fixed incomes while others are struggling to be successful in this sluggish economy.   Keeping  taxes  low  makes a difference for all of us.   Property tax rates are a critical concern for businesses considering a move here and we need to lower the rates in Pima County,  if we want our economy to grow.
The Arizona chapter of  "Americans for Prosperity" (AFP)  rates all  elected officials in  the state each year. The rating system assesses how elected officials perform in terms of  their votes to protect  taxpayers.
I am proud to have received the second highest rating of "Hero of the Taxpayer" on the 2015 scorecard.   I am especially proud to be one of  only two County Supervisors in the state of Arizona  to have received this recognition.  The AFP ratings for the entire board are shown below:
The entire report from AFP can be found at AFP 2015 Ratings
With  the upcoming election in 2016, we are likely to see a change in the board majority that will finally get us moving in the right direction.  We must  focus on core services and that means fixing the roads and lowering our property tax rates to facilitate sustainable economic development.
It has been an honor to serve the citizens of Pima County.
As you know, I am running for re-election in 2016 and now have a republican challenger.  I am asking for your support and for your vote.
Thank You for your faith and confidence in me!
