Ontario County Sheriff Earns Civil Division Re-Accreditation
|
Ontario County Sheriff Phil Povero was honored before the County Board of Supervisors in March for the re-accreditation of his Civil Division.
NYSSA Executive Director Peter Kehoe and
NYSSA President, Herkimer County Sheriff Chris Farber, presented the Certificate of Accreditation, noting that Ontario is one of only five counties to hold every state-level accreditation. President Farber emphasized the importance of maintaining accreditation. "This is a huge accomplishment,” he said. “It’s important to earn accreditation, but it’s also important to maintain it.”
Executive Director Kehoe added: "These are significant achievements which clearly demonstrate the commitment of your Sheriff and your Sheriff's Office to the pursuit of excellence."
Sheriff Povero recognized members of his team whose hard work was key to achieving re-accreditation:
Sgt. Keith Green; Deputy Alan Roher; and Civil Finance Clerks Debra Cunningham and Susan Hughes.
“I just want to thank our tremendous staff,” Sheriff Povero said.
