10 Tips to Stay Mentally Healthy
The Better Health Channel states " Enjoying mental health means having a sense of wellbeing, being able to function during everyday life and feeling confident to rise to a challenge when the opportunity arises. Just like your physical health, there are actions you can take to increase your mental health." The following simple steps can help to boost your wellbeing and stay mentally healthy:

 1. Connect with others who can enrich your life.
 2. Take time to enjoy your hobbies.
 3. Join a club or group with shared interests.
 4. Contribute to your community.
 5. Be active and eat well.
 6. Challenge yourself to learn a new skill.
 7. Learn how to deal with your stress.
 8. Get plenty of sleep to refresh and restore your body.
 9. Take time to experience the present.
10. Ask for help when you need it.

If there is a topic you would like to know about or a tip that you'd like to share with us, please email Jamie Randolph with your suggestions!
Announcements
Toastmasters Taking Toiletry Donations
We encourage all members and guests to please help support our Community Service Project with the Partners Against Domestic Violence (PADV). Please bring new toiletry and personal care items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soaps, lotions, shampoo, conditioners, deodorant and hair care products to Trevell Pittman in the Student Center or to Dr. Penny Waddell in Building 200 Room 115.  We will be delivering these items to the shelter on November 21st.  (Due to Fall Break, we will not have a club meeting until November 5th.)
Collecting Corks
The Rad Tech program has collected over 12,000 corks, caps and foil from wine bottles for Clothes for Souls. Each is worth 2 cents so we can financially support this global non-profit institution dedicated to fighting poverty. Besides helping the charity, it also helps the earth. The corks are recycled and not put in landfills. Did you know that it takes over 1,500 gallons of water to grow the cotton required for just one pair of jeans and each American discards over 65 pounds of clothing per year? Help us by continuing to donate your corks! Drop off is in bldg. 200, room 245.
Collecting Aluminum Can Tabs
The Future Cardiovascular Technologist Club and the Association for Radiologic Technologist are collecting can tabs. One gallon of tabs equals a one night stay in the Ronald McDonald House for a family. Together, we've already collected eight gallons, but we can do more! Help us by bringing your aluminum can tab donations to room 121, 245 or 133 in bldg. 200. Thank you!
