The Big Johnny by Oscar is an 8 x 66 based on the Leaf by Oscar Maduro blend. The blend was originally done for a customer named "John" and sold at Leaf and Bean retail shops.
Big Johnny is a man's smoke because of its size, but with a medium smoke profile and is b
lended by Oscar Valladares, the man behind the Leaf by Oscar and Island Jim cigars. Valladares has his own factory in Honduras and many consider one of the young rising stars in the cigar industry.

After Hurricane Ike destroyed Skip's Galveston Bay Tobacco store, he hooked up with Michael Rosales, who was operating Rosales' Costa Rican Imports, LLC. Together and with cigar blender, Estaban Disa, they created their first blend which was the original Cro Magnon with the intent of rolling 5000 cigars. They sold so quickly that they had to reorder again and again, eventually wiping out their supply of Broadleaf. Their investment in a larger quantity of tobacco led to the idea of really taking this to a new level. As a result, RoMa Craft Tobac (
