Great news! Sea Isle City is slated to receive a grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation in the amount of $179,000 to help resurface Pleasure Avenue from JFK Boulevard to 53rd Street (a project that will also include upgrading the ADA ramps at each intersection). The grant will come from the DOT's Municipal Aid Program, which is a very competitive funding program that received 641 applications requesting more than $253 million this year alone. <<

CITY COUNCIL'S MESSAGE

At the start of the April 12 City Council meeting, Council passed Resolution 076, which officially recognized Villanova University for winning the 2016 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship. The resolution stated that many residents and visitors in Sea Isle City are proud alumni of the esteemed learning institution - including two current members of City Council, one a 1955 graduate and one a 1962 graduate. <<READ MORE>>

MASTER PLAN RE-EXAMINATION

Special Meeting on April 18
The public is invited to a Special Planning Board meeting on April 18, at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall, 233 JFK Boulevard. The meeting's discussion topics will be: Economic Development, Infrastructure and the Environment. This is expected to be the last Special Planning Board meeting prior to a Master Plan Re-Examination Report being drafted and reviewed later this year.

Has Gone mobile!
Apple mobile device users can save time by ordering their 2016 seasonal beach tags via a free app from Viply (download the Viply app at the iTunes store...the Viply web link will show you how it works). Once you purchase your beach tags with the Viply app, you can pick them up at your convenience after April 15 at the Sea Isle City Beach Tag Office on JFK Boulevard, where you will simply use your mobile device to scan-in and get your tags. A nominal service fee per tag will be applied at the time of purchase (

MEMORIAL GARDEN UNVEILING

Updated Gardens Will Be Unveiled April 27
The Sea Isle City Historical Museum's Memorial Garden is currently receiving a "face-lift." New plants, a water feature, and a Terrapin Turtle Habitat are now being constructed in the garden, located behind the Sea Isle City Library at 4800 Park Road. To celebrate these new enhancements, on W3ednesday, April 27 at 12:30 p.m., the Historical Society invites everyone to an Open House with refreshments, a ceremony in the new gardens, and the unveiling of a new street sign honoring Mike and Marie Stafford. FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING
|
During April and May, the Water Department will flush-out fire hydrants throughout town. Annual hydrant flushing is required by State law and ensures that hydrant systems are functioning properly. Residents can expect very little disruption in their water service - if any. However, low water pressure and possible water discoloration may occur.
