Katy ISD Elementary Schools Selected as Exemplary Schools in Health and Physical Education
 
Three Katy ISD elementary schools were recently announced as 2015 Texas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance (TAHPERD) Exemplary Schools in health and physical education. Exley Elementary was recognized as a Level 2 Exemplary School, and Nottingham Country and Schmalz elementary schools were recognized as Level 3 Exemplary Schools. Read more...
District Participates in Digital Citizenship Week
 
Next week is Digital Citizenship Week in Katy ISD. The theme for the week is "Think Before You Post," and reminds the Katy ISD community to consider the consequences of what we say or post online, and the effects it might have on our online reputation and on others. Katy ISD campuses will utilize the hashtag #ThinkB4UPost, as well as participate in various activities throughout the week. Additionally, keep an eye out on Katy ISD's social media next week to participate in the "Digital Citizenship Superhero" activity. 
Katy ISD Celebrates National School Lunch Week October 12-16
 
To recognize the National School Lunch Program and the 30 million children it serves across the nation every day, Katy ISD is celebrating National School Lunch Week (NSLW) from October 12-16, 2015. During the 2014-2015 school year, the District served 6.1 million lunches to Katy ISD students. Read more...
Texas Association of School Boards Elects Katy ISD Trustee as Second Vice President

The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) recently elected its 2015-2016 officers during the Association's annual Delegate Assembly and Convention in Austin. Katy ISD Board of Trustees member Joe M. Adams was elected to serve as the second vice president. Read more...
Katy ISD Parent and Patron Assistance Center

The Parent & Patron Assistance Center (PPAC) is a confidential resource that serves the Katy ISD community by helping to address concerns, complaints, conflict and other school-related issues in an informal manner on behalf of the Superintendent. The Coordinator is available to listen to and analyze problems; identify and explain relevant District policies and procedures; and explore options for parents and patrons.
