Southeast Alaska Resiliency Mapping
Weatherizing for the Economic Storm
 
At our Mid Session Summit, we asked attendees to participate in a Southeast Alaska resiliency mapping exercise. The purpose was to determine and detail the key strategies that Southeast Alaska leaders are planning to implement in order to respond to our current state fiscal situation. Participants from 23 different communities across the region generated 400 individual written comments. There was a clear consensus regarding the top responses (font size correlates to number of responses):

SEC is the State-designated Alaska Regional Development Organization (ARDOR), the federally-designated Economic Development District (EDD) for Southeast Alaska. Each of these things requires Southeast Conference take an active role in regional resource management and economic development planning.
