The  Squash BC  Board of Directors is taking nominations for the position of President, and Vice President positions in Finance, Membership and Player Development. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and help shape the strategic vision of  squash  in British Columbia.  More information regarding preferred qualifications and nomination procedure can be found  on our website . The deadline to submit nomination forms is April 30, 2016.

Upcoming Tournaments & Events

The  Canadian National Championships is coming up May 4-7 in Toronto! In addition to seeing Canada's top Squash players compete for the National title, there are companion events for levels A through D, as well as age categories. The registration deadline is April 13 (TODAY!) so sign up today !

The May Long Weekend Whistler Open is quickly approaching, have you already signed up? The $70 entry fee for May 20th-23rd includes a t-shirt, guaranteed 2 matches, coffee/muffins at the courts, a lunch voucher, pizza at the courts on Friday/Saturday, dinner on Sunday, and free beer at the courts. Also prizes are provided  for all categories. Make sure to sign up here!

Americas Masters Games registration is now in full swing! Squash players from all over the world have already registered to participate in the event taking place August 26 - September 4, 2016. Reserve your spot for this exciting event today!
Attention Juniors!

Even though the season is slowing down, it does not mean you should stop developing your Squash skills! Squash BC has recently launched the Junior Pathway program for Juniors who are new to Squash and would like to gain some entry level tournament experience. The first event was recently held at Vancouver Racquets Club and was a big success with 23 participants representing 7 clubs around Vancouver. Check out the Squash BC Calendar for future Junior Pathway events near you!

The Bentall Centre Athletic Club in downtown Vancouver is looking to expand the junior program and is now opening up the program to children of non-club members. The junior program is currently in it's early stages and has two age groups meeting once per week (Sunday afternoons); Ages 8-11 run from 3-4pm and ages 12-17 go from 4-5pm. If you have a child (or children) that you would like to get involved in squash but your local club does not have a junior program, please email Andrew at [email protected]  to inquire.

Singles Officiating certification is available through the online course offered by  Squash Canada. It's a great way to get more comfortable with the rules and the calls. It can be taken entirely online, at your own pace. 
Once you complete the course, you are a certified "Club" official.
