OPERATION ISAIAH
The holiday of Passover is almost here and we can already begin to smell the aromatic odors of cooking in the kitchen.  We will soon sit at our Seder tables laden with good food and we will feel very blessed.  It is very easy at this time not to realize the depressing sadness and frustration that is being experienced by some of our neighbors who are not able to prepare a holiday meal for their families.  It could be someone who just lost a job and is finding it difficult to put food on their table let alone share in the festivities of the holiday.

As you shop in the grocery store for your holiday food, please do not forget those less fortunate than us.   All packaged or canned food can be dropped off in the Synagogue lobby.

Join Us This Shabbat!
This Shabbat we celebrate Evan Levy, son of Peter Levy and Kim Glasgal becoming a Bar Mitzvah.

Evan Levy is in the seventh grade at the
Martin J. Gottlieb Day School.  For his Bar Mitzvah project Evan is working with his school administration to establish a peer court (such as the ones established in public middle schools due to the efforts of ICARE and Superintendent Vitti) and to raise awareness of the important work of ICARE, an interfaith organization that takes on issues of social justice in Jacksonville. People can find out more about ICARE through their website (icarejax.org) and on facebook. Evan enjoys tennis, reading, computer games and he loves to travel with his family
